Conventional Hot Water Tank

These are very common in most house.  They typically hold 40-50 gallons of water that are stored up and waiting to be used.  However, once used, you must wait for them to heat back up.  They also can pose flooding hazards if they rupture.  Another downside is that they take up a lot of floor space.  One bright side is that they are cheaper to install, but they do need to be replaced every 10-12 years.

Tankless Water Heater

These are become very popular due to the high gas efficiency, convenient installation location and the endless hot water that they supply.  Never run out of hot water again.  They do have a higher installation cost but they do last significantly longer than conventional tanks. There are very little downsides to the TANKLESS option, but we can help you decide if this is right for you.
